Hawkwood Farm is located between Almonte and Middleville in Lanark County. Together, owners owners Glennis Harwig and Jack Hinton have been practicing organic, sustainable, and compassionate farming for a quarter of a century.
Their prize-winning vegetables are available at Union Hall Market – a friendly meeting place for locals and visitors just 10 minutes from Almonte (Fridays 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm usually starting the first week of July; orders placed by 7 pm on Wednesdays can be picked up at market on Fridays). Please call for harvest dates and information and do bring your own bags/baskets.
Order Hawkwood's famous garlic by telephone or e-mail for pick-up/delivery starting late August. Large orders should be placed by the end of June if possible. Talk to us about future bulk vegetable or garlic requirements. Visits to the farm are by appointment only.

Chef Judy Dempsey is a longtime advocate of high quality, locally-produced food. Since closing the Hungry Planet Restaurant in 2008, she has found new ways to promote Lanark’s delicious agricultural products.
Currently, she works with the team at Temples Sugar Camp developing new products and creating inspired and innovative new menus forweddings and other special events. As time permits, Judy will also beoffering cooking classes at, among others, Mrs. McGarrigles, Loblaws, and Temples Sugar Camp.  Information about classes will be posted on this website.
