Lanark County Slow Food is hosting "Meat Matters", an evening of convivial discussion, learning and eating at the Maberly Hall.
Ever wondered what to do with unusual cuts of meat that come with local meat freezer orders? Tibrata Gillies - former chef at Kingston's Pan Chancho Restaurant and Professor at St. Lawrence College - will talk about lesser known meat cuts and techniques for cooking them successfully. Information about where to source local meat, tips on freezer ordering, and a bit about butchering will also be covered.
What: presentation 4-6, potluck meal 6-8 pm
When: Sunday March 14th, 4-8 pm
Where: Maberly Hall, Maberly (15 minutes west of Perth on Hwy 7)
Cost:$3 for members, $5 for non-members
Please bring a dish using local meat and/or veg to contribute to the meal.
