***New this year: We are pleased to offer Certified Organic Pasture Raised Berkshire & Tamworth Pork! ***
If you are tired of what the grocery stores are calling ‘food’ you need to come to Funny Duck Farms to learn about what real food is! With our three young children helping along side us, we are committed to:
- raising food in a way that nurtures the soil and all those living on it and in it,
- providing the ultimate in food freshness, and
- reducing government interference with your RIGHT to fresh, safe, whole foods.
Out in our pastures is where you will find our laying hens, broilers and heritage pigs. Pasture raised animals provide excellent, nutritious food for people without harming the land, the environment or resorting to the use of chemicals and medications.
Our quest for quality food reared appropriately and ethically became more intense after we decided to have children. Knowing that children are far more sensitive to the chemicals, drugs and disease in conventional foods and healthcare products, we began expanding our product line. Handpicked loose herbal teas as well as herbal tinctures are available to deal with a variety of common issues like seasonal allergies, coughs and colds, stress, anxiety, anemia, insomnia, high blood pressure, PMS, menstrual symptoms, menopause, and depression. Our products are carefully hand made with certified organic local herbs wherever possible. They are natural, safe, effective and chemical free. We also offer a variety of herbal products appropriate for pregnancy and breastfeeding. Funny Duck Farms is a family owned and operated 94 acre farm Certified Organic by ProCert-Organic Systems.
Available in season: Pastured chicken, pastured eggs, pastured Berkshire & Tamworth pork, weaner pigs. Available year round: Free-range eggs (yes, our chickens even go out in the winter!) herbal teas, tinctures, cow share program, kefir, bathsoaks, bathbombs, natural herbal skin care products, Organic & Natural Food Co-op, & raw dog food. Farm tours can be arranged if you would like to learn more about how the sun is connected to the grass and soil, which are connected to the chickens and pigs, which are connected to the gardens, which are all connected to our health. Any fresher, and you’d have to slap us!
