Help Wanted: Part-time position at Sharbot Lake Farmers Market

Skills Required:

Good people skills and an understanding of how a farmers’ market works. Supportive of local food initiatives. The successful candidate should have a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle and be prepared to do some lifting.

Hours and Duties:

• Contract position running from May 4 through Oct 10,  during the market, 8:30 to 1:30 plus 1 hour during the week. Early May orientation and preparation for the market, 6 hours.
• Access to computer and printer required.
• First Aid/CPR required (paid by market).
• Duties during the market include: set-up of the space, including sweeping, monitoring the cleanliness of the site, reporting problems to manager, making sure supplies are available and accessible.
• Providing assistance and interacting positively with vendors and shoppers.

Salary: $12/hr.
